Google CEO denies efforts to manipulate search results
Axios reported on Friday that Google CEO Sundar Pichai has denied allegations that the company was making an effort to politically bias their search engines results.
The Wall Street Journal cited internal emails on Thursday that the companies staff discussed ways of altering the search engine to counter the 2017 travel ban.
His statement also follows a leaked video from a Google TGIF meeting after the 2016 presidential election where they referred to the election as a hiccup in progress and stated they would use AI to combat “low information voters” and “fake news”.
The Axios reports the following as the email that was sent out to “Googlers” from Pichai, though Google themselves have yet to comment on it.
