Carter Page FISA Warrent Documents Released by DOJ
The formally top-secret FISA documentation related to the wiretapping of former Trump Campaign adviser Carter Page were released Saturday.
Mr. Page was involved with accusations by Republicans that the F.B.I. was abusing it’s surveillance powers. Democrats rejected the claims in February, stating that it was only an attempt to create doubt about the Russia Investigation.
The released documents include an application to the FISA court to wiretap Mr. Page, and include several renewal applications. The documents were released to several sources including Judicial Watch whom had sued to obtain them.
The documents state that the application targets Mr. Page and that the FBI believes he was targeted by Russian recruiters. The documents are heavily redacted.
